Why So Many Jewish Cities? Inside America’s New Hasidic Towns: Documentary Preview
By Mike Dean,
In 2019, Kiryas Joel, N.Y. split off to become the Town of Palm Tree, widely described as the first official ultra-Orthodox town in America. Lakewood, N.J. grew 46% in ten years. Proposed villages are on the table in upstate New York. And this month, families began moving into Lakefront Estates near Lake Okeechobee, Florida, where plans call for up to 1,000 homes.
Many of these communities run their own volunteer patrols and ambulance corps, and some of them receive public money. Their growth has set off zoning fights, lawsuits and state settlements, while Washington rolls back the fair housing rules meant to keep every community open to everyone.
Over the next year, The Daily Rumble is going on the road to find out what's really happening. Who builds these towns? Who is allowed to live in them? Who pays for their security? And what happens to the neighbors? We'll go to the sites, read the records, and talk to residents, neighbors and officials on every side.
This is independent journalism, and it only happens if you fund it.

Why are there Jewish-only cities being built all over America? Why are Hasidic Jews building a compound down in the Florida heat, where they'll be forced to walk around in hot wool suits and big furry hats? These are the questions that we're asking here at the Daily Rumble, because these are exclusive cities that are only going to be open to the Jewish community. Now, this violates all kinds of federal laws and the Fair Housing Act, which Donald Trump's administration is systematically destroying, which is now allowing these exclusive Jewish communities, not allowing everyday average Americans even the opportunity to live in them. They're going to have their own police force, they're going to have their own ambulances, their own hospitals, a complete exclusive community that none of us can live in. And right now, it's being guarded. These construction sites are being guarded by sheriff's offices. That's taxpayer money. That's resources that's supposed to go to keeping the entire community safe, but instead they're being diverted over to protecting these construction sites. Right here at the Daily Rumble, we're launching a campaign to fund our documentary, to go around the country and find out about these sites, and make sure that everybody is aware of them. But it takes all of us to get involved. If you want to donate to this very important documentary series that we're going to be putting out over the next year, please go to DailyRumbleNetwork.com. Click on the Donations tab, click on the Why So Many Jewish Cities thumbnail, and donate to that project so we can get it going. And thank you to everybody in advance.
